Version 1.7.4 NEW

- Offline Local Fonts: All typography has instant font loading across all browsers, and Discord Activity.

- Store 5-Pack Protection (Pity System): Opening 4 consecutive packs of an expansion without getting a new card now guarantees that at least 1 card in the 5th pack will be a missing card from your collection.
- Campaign Stage 4 (Mimic): Unlocked a shape-shifting boss encounter after Stage 3! Mimic enters with 40 Health, awards 300 Gold on victory.
- Card Balance Adjustments: Antichristjesus self-heal on kill removed; Cardinal Severin turn-start ability updated to silence a random enemy minion instead of all enemy minions every turn. Still silences all minions on it's first play
Version 1.7.3
Reconnection Fixes, Responsive Layout & UX
This update fixes multiplayer match reconnection, addresses singleplayer/campaign startup issues, and optimizes layout spacing for laptops and small screens.
- Multiplayer Reconnection: Added an active duel banner and direct "Reconnect to Duel" button in the menu. Rejoining an interrupted game now connects seamlessly.
- Singleplayer & Campaign Stability: Resolved an issue where starting NPC or Campaign matches would fail or require multiple retries when previous matches were active.
- Laptop & Discord Activity Layout: Scaled down the hand area and hero panels on height-constrained screens to give maximum battlefield space to player and opponent cards.
- Mobile Controls: The End Turn button is now rectangular on mobile phones, matching the desktop interface style.
Version 1.7.2
Expansion 2 Cards & QoL Updates
This update brings a significant expansion to the card pool, along with various quality-of-life improvements and general fixes.
- Added 24 brand new cards to Expansion 2 to bring more depth and deckbuilding options.
- Implemented several quality-of-life (QoL) changes to improve user interface and experience.
- Applied fixes for multiple bugs to ensure smoother gameplay and stability.
Version 1.7
Ranked Ladder & Competitive Rewards
Ranked arrives as Arcana's competitive ladder: scheduled matchmaking, rating progression, rank identity, and weekly rewards in one complete mode.
- Ranked matchmaking is available during scheduled CET windows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- The ladder uses rating and rank tiers from Sand to Master, with match results showing the rating gained or lost.
- Weekly Ranked rewards grant gold for Bronze, Gold, Diamond, and Master, claimable once per week from the Rewards panel.
- The Ranked lobby presents the full schedule, local start time, season countdown, rank tiers, and reward table in one place.
- Player profiles, match intros, and profile stats include Ranked rating, rank badges, and Ranked match records.
- Quickplay keeps its own Ranking modal, so casual ranking and Ranked ladder stay clearly separated.
- Card state is clearer in matches: cards that gain active effects such as Divine Shield display the matching badge while the effect is active.
- Italo179 and Knud_the_Dorf receive a balance pass: their protected matchups take half damage instead of fully ignoring it, with damage rounded cleanly.
Version 1.6.9
Controls, Card Flow & Previews
This update improves match controls, card previews, mobile play, and card flow when hands or boards are under pressure.
- Added a Fullscreen button under Invite Activity on supported mobile browsers and embedded views.
- Card hover and long-press previews now use a compact TCG-style panel with the card image, rarity, type, country, keywords, statuses, and a centered readable description.
- Country metadata now shows consistent image-based flags instead of platform-dependent emoji, with a custom Arcana fallback.
- Card preview placement now stays inside the visible screen on desktop, mobile, and embedded views.
- Targeted effect cards are easier to cancel: the hand toggle and empty board taps now exit targeting cleanly, and target highlights clear immediately.
- Cards like Toy, Jacque De Balsac, and Chiorico can now be played even when there are no enemy minions, keeping their start-of-turn effects active for later turns.
- Drawing with a full hand now waits for hand space instead of losing the next deck card, including special deck-draw effects.
- Card art has been optimized for faster loading while keeping high visual quality in matches and the collection.
- Antichristjesus now blocks only enemy Taunt and Divine Shield summons, allows Charge summons, and restores Health on kills instead of gaining Divine Shield.
Version 1.6.8
Card Tuning & Deck Builder Clarity
This update sharpens several The Gates cards, adjusts rarity placement, and makes deckbuilding limits easier to read.
- Cardinal Severin is now a sturdier 5 Mana Mythic that Silences enemy minions when played and refreshes that Silence at the start of your turns.
- Chiorico description clearer: the next hit deals extra damage.
- Jacque De Balsac has lower Health, Red is now Legendary, and Moths now enter with Divine Shield.
- Kep from The Gates is now Legendary, has updated stats, and repeats its attack damage after striking a minion.
- The Deck Builder now shows the maximum allowed cards for each card type, making deck limits easier to follow while editing.
- The battlefield now uses the new board texture and keeps hero panels visually lighter so the table stays easier to read.
- Mobile hand handling is smarter: the hand hides while choosing targets, after ending your turn, and when no hand cards can currently be played.
- The hand toggle can still be used manually after automatic hiding, so you can inspect your cards whenever the board is clear.
- Mobile hand view now shows compact Health and Mana circles beside the hand when the hero is covered.
- Targeted cards, including healing and overhealing minions, can now be dragged directly onto their targets on touch screens.
Version 1.6.7
Card Balance Pass
This update retunes a broad group of Rare, Legendary, and Mythic cards so high-rarity decks have clearer tradeoffs and smoother tempo.
- Expansion 2 adds ten new cards, including new targeted overhealing, Burning retaliation, keyword-locking, and an unattackable minion effect.
- Crowley_The_Penguin is now Mythic, arrives earlier, and keeps a sturdier but more contained defensive role.
- Several high-rarity cards had their Mana costs, Attack, or Health adjusted, including Multimaker, Humph, Gabibbo Ardito, Toy, Overseer, Mamaluteo, Cardinal Severin, Michiel_op_Snuifari, Lawrence-of-Arabia, High_Inquisitor_KnkL, Babu, Baatus, and Athena.
- Overseer now has Charge, Bloodgiver heals itself for more when attacking, and High_Inquisitor_KnkL can grow to a higher Health ceiling.
- Fish now costs 5 Mana.
- Moonhammer and Vlad are now easier to play, giving Rare Charge cards better late-game timing.
- Mythic Constellation now tracks the current Mythic roster and unlocks after collecting 5 different Mythic cards.
Version 1.6.6
Menus Reforged & Mythic Balance
Arcana's menus have been visually reforged into a more immersive, cohesive experience, accompanied by a focused balance pass for selected Mythic cards.
- The main menu and its major sections now share a stronger identity, smoother transitions, clearer navigation, and improved layouts across desktop and mobile.
- Changed Mythical cards to Legendaries, in the future Mythics will be redefined with a stronger identity.
Version 1.6.5
FireElemental, Roads Rewards & New Player Gold
Campaign progression now reaches a fire-themed Stage 3, Roads cards become collectible rewards, and account rewards are clearer for new and returning players.
- New accounts now start with 350 gold alongside their starter cards. Existing accounts also receive this 350 gold once.
- Stage 3 is open: challenge FireElemental on a fire-themed board with a stronger high-rarity deck and 3 starting Mana.
- Defeating FireElemental grants 150 gold the first time and awards a Roads card after each victory.
- Roads card rewards avoid duplicates until you have collected the full Roads set. After that, repeat victories can award extra copies.
- The board music rotation now includes a new song during matches.
- The main menu now has a dedicated Discord Activity invite button. Confirming the invite explains how Activities work and grants 100 gold once per account.
- New cards, some fixes, and QoL things that i forgot, sorry.
Version 1.6.3
25-Card Decks, Card Effects & Board Polish
Deckbuilding is bigger, more cards have distinctive effects, and the match UI is clearer across desktop and mobile.
- Decks now use 25 cards. New accounts start with 25 cards, and existing saved decks are expanded with owned cards while keeping deck rules valid.
- Deck copy rules are clearer: Common, Rare, and Souvenir cards allow up to 2 copies, Legendary cards allow 1 copy each with 3 total per deck, and Mythic cards allow 1 total per deck.
- Matches now begin with a Mulligan phase, giving players a chance to keep their opening hand or replace selected cards before the first turn.
- The opening hand replacement screen now fits cards more reliably on small screens and keeps replacement cards visible before returning to the match.
- Turn actions are now compact square icon buttons. End Turn sits in the left action slot, turns green when available, and stays muted when it cannot be used.
- Inventory cards now show their full card tip on hover, and mobile players can hold a card to see the same tip.
- Cards with special minion abilities now show a purple star badge, making passive and triggered effects easier to spot at a glance.
- Spell damage values now use the proper yellow combat-stat color, and card hover keeps its 3D shine while rendering card art more clearly.
- Athena now brings Confusion: enemy minions cannot attack normally on their next turn and may strike one of their own allies instead.
- Baaatus, Dantenie83, Tucuquere, Vatou, Weekly_Wackadoo, Angel, and Dog now have their own playable effects and updated descriptions.
- Warerita, V de Vendetta, SzczwanyLisek, Rin, Oil Bert, Mr Labubu, and Meow4glory now have updated abilities and clearer descriptions.
- Status-focused cards now use clearer descriptions and repeat their turn-start pressure more consistently.
- Rarity balance has been updated across the roster, including new Legendary placements for Fanex, Mamaluteo, Athena, Babu, Overseer, GoldenWarerita, Humph, Zugzwang, and more.
- Singleplayer losses now award 5 gold, matching multiplayer losses, while surrendering in singleplayer still gives no gold.
- Several cards moved into Common and Rare tiers to make collection growth smoother and pack openings more useful across more decks.
Version 1.6.2
Smarter NPC & Scraping Tuning
Fastplay and campaign opponents now make stronger decisions without changing their stats, while duplicate scraping receives a safer economy pass.
- The Singleplayer NPC now it's more intelligent, ponderates movements and moves more as a real human than automated actions.
- The Protector now correctly plays Mamaluteo onto the board even when it targets the player hero with Poison.
- Status-focused Mythic cards from The Gates now keep pressuring the enemy board by applying their status to a random enemy minion at the start of each of your turns.
- Singleplayer start now ignores repeated taps while the NPC match is being prepared, preventing duplicate match creation on slow connections.
- Campaign stages now unlock in order: higher stages require completing the previous stage first.
- The Singleplayer campaign menu now scales better for more stages with a scrollable stage list and clearer locked/completed states.
- Scraping values have been tuned: Common and Rare cards give 1 gold, Legendary 2, Mythic 3, and Souvenir 10.
- Scrape all now keeps two copies of each card, or more if saved decks need them, before converting extras into gold.
Version 1.6.1
Scraping, Search & Rewards
A focused quality-of-life update for managing large collections, earning gold from duplicates, and finding cards faster.
- The Inventory now has a Scraping tab where duplicate cards can be converted into gold while keeping at least one copy and protecting cards needed by saved decks.
- Scraping values are now visible in-game for each rarity.
- Scraping now asks for confirmation, shows a compact animated stack preview, and finishes with a gold-earned result modal.
- Scrape all is available for the currently filtered duplicate list.
- Collection, Deck Builder, Scraping, and Trade now support keyword search across card name, race, type, rarity, combat keywords, expansion, and abilities.
- The old Type filter was removed from the Inventory tabs to make room for the faster keyword search.
- The Trade card picker now uses keyword search in place of the selected-card text label, while the selected offer remains visible in the trade summary and card row.
- Singleplayer victories now grant 10 gold, matching multiplayer wins.
Version 1.6
Embers, Exchange & Fair Play
A visual refresh, smoother social features, stronger shop and collection screens, tournament quality-of-life upgrades, and a broad balance update for every way to play.
- Main Menu refresh.
- Choose a display name from your Profile without changing your Discord account or player ID. Open it with the pencil beside your name; names accept letters, numbers, and underscores only.

- Trade controls and card panels now fit more cleanly inside their frame on desktop and phone layouts.
- Card artwork in the collection zoom is larger and remains balanced on both phone and desktop layouts.
- The Shop has a cleaner mobile-ready layout with a tighter wallet display, clearer pack details, QTY labels, pack odds, and a collection-focused dashboard.
- The Inventory screen has a richer collection layout with stronger card presentation and better behavior across phone and desktop sizes.
- Opening packs is more interactive: cards begin face down with expansion art, can be flipped manually or revealed all at once, and now hint rarity through the face-down border glow.
- Card hover movement is now more expressive and consistent across Shop, Inventory, deck views, and pack opening without stretching the card art.
- Tournament brackets now open from the ? button on tournament cards into a dedicated responsive modal.
- On phones, tournament rounds use a compact dropdown, match cards are smaller, the bracket scrolls vertically, and accidental text selection or sideways dragging is reduced.
- On desktop, the tournament podium stays visible beside the bracket and the bracket scrollbar has matching styling.
- Active tournaments automatically focus the round currently in progress. Registered players see their own relevant match, status, and essential details first; completed brackets stop refreshing unnecessarily.
- Tournament readiness is more reliable: players who arrive are tracked, one-sided no-shows advance the waiting player, and a match with no arrivals no longer blocks the bracket.
- In every mode except Singleplayer, the player going second receives Mana Spark: a 0-cost Special card that grants 1 temporary Mana for the current turn.
- Only one Charge minion can be played to a side of the board at once.
- Overseer now costs 3 Mana and is a 4/6. On its first death it deals 20 damage to all minions, then returns with 1 Health; the explosion cannot trigger again.
- Fanex now steals a random minion from the enemy board and immediately deploys it on your side.
- New achievements have been added for reaching Top 5, reaching Top 1, completing the Base collection, and completing the Expansion 1 collection. Reaching Top 1 also unlocks a new title.
- Souvenir cards are now available as a new 0.6% rarity tier.
- Base packs cost 15 gold and Expansion 1 packs cost 25 gold.

Version 1.5.4
PWA & Tournament Stability
Arcana is easier to install, more resilient during tournament starts, and clearer at a glance.
- Install Arcana TCG as an app on compatible desktop and mobile browsers. An in-game install notice appears in the main menu when the browser confirms it is available.
- The PWA cache now updates safely between releases without caching login, Discord Activity, profile, match, or other live API requests.
- Tournament matches now start through a protected queue, preventing a rush of bracket pairings from loading the server at once. Duplicate starts, failed preparations, and disconnects are handled safely.
- The tournament lobby now tells both players when a match is being prepared and preserves a clear re-entry path if preparation cannot finish.
- Mythic Lolflame now deals 1 damage to every enemy minion whenever it attacks, including when it attacks the opposing hero. Deck lists now show Charge, Taunt, and Divine Shield beside card costs.
- Updated the main-menu music rotation with MainMenu1 and removed the retired Board4 track from the board rotation.
- Mobile audio now retries during touch input and offers an Enable sound action whenever the browser blocks playback after login.
Version 1.5.3
Iron Watch: TheUnchained
Stage 2 is now open, bringing a new boss encounter built around the Shield Trial.
- Challenge TheUnchained in Iron Watch. The boss has 30 Health, follows normal Mana progression, and unleashes its 0/20 encounter-only Mythic after building enough Mana.
- The Shield Trial returns whenever TheUnchained enters the board or survives to another turn. Block incoming arrows with the shield to avoid damage.
- The trial grows through long battles: more arrows, faster patterns, longer sequences, mobile swipe controls, and hit or block sound feedback.
- Defeat TheUnchained to earn 250 gold. This campaign reward is available once per account and its claimed state is visible from the stage reward panel.
- Earn the new Unchained Conqueror achievement and its decorative profile badge for defeating the boss.
- Targeted spells now hide the hand on mobile while selected or dragged, keeping hero and board targets clear without breaking the hand swipe gesture.
Version 1.5.2
Balance & Match Fixes
A targeted balance pass for Taunt minions and their battlefield roles.
- Jeraxes is now a 5 Mana 0/8 Taunt minion, down from 7 Mana 0/9.
- Alfred Longstocking is now a 5 Mana 2/6 Taunt minion, trading one more Mana for stronger Attack.
- Babu is now a 9 Mana 2/9 Taunt minion, reducing both Attack and Health by 1.
- Barto, DisappointmentPanda, and Fish now cost 4, 4, and 6 Mana respectively, keeping their existing stats and Taunt.
- Saaaru is now a 7 Mana 5/6 Taunt minion, making it a stronger and more accessible mid-game option.
- V for Vendetta now costs 4 Mana, while Rockseller now costs 7 Mana.
- Toy is now a 5 Mana 3/8 Mythic and no longer has Taunt. Its on-play Weaken effect remains available.
- In 1v1 and Quickmatch, the player who starts is now chosen at random. The match introduction marks that contender with Starts.
- Hero healing is now capped at maximum Health, while minion healing can still exceed maximum Health. Quick Bandage and Greater Blessing now state this clearly.
Version 1.5.1
Card Rework & Balance Update
A focused pass on card identity, counterplay, and battlefield clarity.
- Added new reusable card mechanics: revival at half Health, in-place transformations, adding a named card to hand each turn, stealing a random minion from the enemy board, and returning both boards to their owners' decks.
- Fanex is a Mythic 6 Mana 6/10. On play, it steals a random minion from the enemy board and deploys it to your board.
- Manuchiliz is now a 7 Mana 5/9 Mythic. Its arrival still deals 3 damage to every minion on both sides of the board.
- Zoblezar no longer has Divine Shield or draws cards on death. The first time it dies, it revives as a 5/10.
- Zugzwang is now an 8/7 Charge minion. Its former three-card draw is replaced with a Minor Spark added to your hand at the start of every one of your turns while it survives.
- Humph is now a 7 Mana 8/10 without Divine Shield. When it dies, every remaining minion on both boards returns to its owner's deck.
- GoldenWarerita now transforms directly into a normal 1/5 Warerita when it dies, preserving its position on the board instead of creating a separate summon.
- Moonhammer changed from 3/9 to 4/8. Red gained 1 Health, becoming 0/9. Tucuquere is now 7/3, and its display name is capitalized.
- Chiorico is now a 5 Mana 6/7 without Charge. Mamaluteo is now a 7 Mana 5/7. These changes give their disruptive effects more appropriate timing and survivability.
- Base-card balance: Dezadin costs 8; Juniiya is 7 Mana 6/5; Lifelinker costs 9; the Mythic Lolflame is 3 Mana 3/7 while the common version is 4 Mana 2/6; Multimaker is 7 Mana 1/6; PrinceMVC is 3/10; Ranger costs 9; and Rin is 7 Mana 5/6.
- Collection and Deck Builder can now sort cards by Mana, Attack, or Health in either direction.
- Hero Health and Mana values have sharper, higher-contrast presentation across desktop and mobile. Impact sounds now vary slightly in pitch, and board music stops immediately when a match result appears.
Version 1.5
Tournament Update
A competitive Arcana bracket is ready to open.
- Added Fanex and Manuchiliz to Expansion 1. Fanex returns a chosen enemy minion to its owner's deck, while Manuchiliz damages every minion when played.
- Completed the Expansion 1 spell presentation with illustrated spell cards, exact effect descriptions, minion healing overflow, and a three-spell deck limit.
- Spell casts and Mythic summons now receive their own battlefield reveal, making important plays easier to follow for both players.
- Fastplay's NPC now builds a different legal minion deck each match, avoids spells, and never attacks with zero Attack.
- Refined card frames across the game: mana remains in the upper corner, while Attack, Health, damage, and healing use clearer lower stat circles. Mobile card inspection now supports press-and-hold.
- Added the More than Honorable supporter title and achievement for players who support Arcana's development.
- Added Tournaments to Multiplayer: pre-register, follow the live bracket, and play your assigned match when both contenders are ready.
- Brackets scale to the number of registered players, with automatic byes, a final, and a third-place match when the bracket allows it.
- Podium prizes award 500 gold for first place, 250 for second, and 100 for third. Arcana Open #1 also announces Grimdark and Eco Pack rewards in Warera.
- Tournament turns last 30 seconds. A player who does not return within 30 seconds after disconnecting forfeits the match.
- Important tournament states are visible in the lobby and during the duel, including start time, bracket status, turn time, reconnection countdowns, and forfeits.
- Multiplayer now shows a tournament alert whenever an event is scheduled.
Version 1.4
Expansion 1 & Player Profile Update
A new roster arrives, alongside a more personal way to show your Arcana journey.
- Added Expansion 1: twenty-eight collectible cards from Arcana, available in its own 3-card shop pack.

- Expansion 1 also adds eight English spell cards: Minor Spark, Minor Fireball, Greater Blessing, Quick Bandage, Elemental Fury, Focused Bolt, Devastating Meteor, and Arcane Reading.
- Spells now appear in a full casting reveal before their effect resolves, so both duelists can clearly see what was played.
- Damage spells show their power in red, healing spells show it in green, and healing can overflow beyond normal Health.
- Decks can include up to three spells. Starter openings and auto-built decks now follow the same limit.
- NPCs focus on minions and no longer cast spells or waste attacks with zero Attack.
- On touch devices, hold a card still to inspect its details; releasing it closes the tip without playing the card.
- Rebalanced several existing cards and updated stat lines across the roster.
- Added player profiles with wins, losses, mode-specific statistics, collection browsing, player search, titles, achievements, and up to three equipped achievement badges.
- New title and achievement unlocks are announced in-game, and profile notifications mark rewards waiting to be viewed.
- Before a match begins, both contenders are introduced with their profile title and equipped badges. The introduction now fades in and out before the first turn starts.
- A match is now a draw when both players have no cards left in hand, deck, or on the battlefield.
- Discord Activity authentication has been hardened and fixed for the live app, with trusted-origin validation and safer session handling.
